Delafield, WI– (July 2010) –Doak Geiger from Geiger & Associates will be assisting Special Olympics Wisconsin in its 2010-2011 strategic marketing planning activities. Geiger & Associates will provide research activities, strategic review and analysis, and assist personnel in the development of objectives and initiatives for this not-for-profit organization. Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI) is a statewide organization providing persons with cognitive disabilities year-round sports training and competition.  GEIGER ASSISTING WITH M & I SUMMERFEST ACTIVITIES


 

 

Delafield, WI– (June 2010) –Doak Geiger and Geiger & Associates are once again working with M & I on its 2010 Summerfest activation strategy and execution.

 

For 2010, M & I and Geiger have developed an American Idol - designed event where M & I employees audition for the opportunity to appear on the M & I Classic Rock stage on July 4 from 12PM – 2PM. There will be a number of nights of auditioning, and judges will be selecting the final 10 employee/contestants. The event will be supported with professional sound, lights, staging, and videotaping. Judges will offer assessments as well as advice to all contestants. Judges are;

·         Jeff Schroedl, Vice-President of Popular and Standard Publications for Hal Leonard Corporation, overseeing a vast inventory of HLC publications and leading the company's entry into the web-based guitar instructional platform called GuitarInstructor.com.;

·         Neil Hawes, Founder and President of The Entertainment Company, a Milwaukee music talent agency; and

·         Tracy Hannemann, lead singer for the Eddie Butts Band, model, and the voice talent that sang "The Brewers Song" on WKTI 94.5 FM in Milwaukee

 

During the finals on July 4, at Summerfest, there will be celebrity guests and a visit to a stage headliner that day.

In addition, Geiger has reviewed and provided recommendations for their B2B strategy using Summerfest as a tactic.

 Delafield, WI– (March 2010) –Doak Geiger has been retained to again work on sponsor activation at the Wisconsin State Fair for MillerCoors, it was announced today.  This marks the 7th year that Geiger & Associates will provide assistance to the Miller Lite Sports Bar & Grill and Saz’s Miller High Life Pavilion. Responsibilities will include strategic planning for execution elements, entertainment sourcing, negotiation, and execution, and on-site management of marketing activities for Miller Coors.

 Delafield, WI– (January 2010) –Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation announced today that  Doak Geiger has been retained to review strategic marketing initiatives for its events and activities. Geiger & Associates will provide strategic review and analysis, and develop recommendations on tactical elements for enhancing marketing effectiveness and event marketing.

Delafield, WI– (December 2008) –Doak Geiger, principle at Geiger & Associates, a Milwaukee area consultancy, has been awarded the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business Gold Star Teaching Award for Spring 2008 instruction.
The award is given to faculty ranked “top 10 in school” for student teaching evaluations. Outstanding teaching is recognized each semester in the form of teaching awards to the top ten graduate instructors, the top ten undergraduate instructors, and the top five mass lecturers, based on the teaching effectiveness means. This is the second time Geiger has been awarded the Gold Star Teaching Award. He received it for the first time for the Fall 2006 semester.
